The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. The goal of PALS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Because the PALS Provider Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand.
If you do not learn and understand the ECG and PALS pharmacology information in the pre-course assessment tests, it is unlikely that you can successfully complete the PALS Provider Course.
