This course will prepare you to take EKG/Pharm and then finally ACLS.
At the completion of this course the learner will be able to:
- Be aware of telemetry protocols
- Have some familiarity the Philips Monitoring system
- Describe the normal cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrical conduction through the heart
- Identify and relate waveforms to the cardiac cycle
- Understand the different lead placement
- Utlize a systematic process for telemetry rhythm interpretation
- Identify a normal and abnormal components of telemetry rhythms
- Discuss the importance of monitoring QT prolognation
- Understnad some basic pacemaker and ICD functions and malfunctions
